We do appreciate this recognition by Emmanuel Macron of the assassination in 1957 of Ali Boumendjel by the French army with the support of the political leaders of the time. When a state begins to carry out extrajudicial executions, it is not only a moral fault, it is the whole social contract that is torn apart. It is to break with the vocation of the State to protect people. It is to take the side of the killers. In addition, to hide this crime is to place the responsibility on the following generations. It is not just a political mistake. It is a scientific error for a State to hide reality, falsify it. It is not possible to base the future on a lie. We can only invite the President of the Republic to take the same step to recognize the responsibility of France in the genocide of the Tutsi in Rwanda in 1994 and in particular in the attack of April 6, 1994 which served as a pretext for the elimination of all persons classified as Tutsi.
