Abstract
The technical expert report on the conditions of the attack of April 6, 1994, which was submitted by the French investigating judge Marc Trévidic to the lawyers of the families of the French crew of the Falcon, reverses a thesis bitterly defended in France, which attributes direct responsibility for the attack to RPF forces and their leader Paul Kagame, who has become president of Rwanda. This report accredits the fact (in particular retained by the Belgian intelligence services) that an extremist fraction of the Hutu power wanted at all costs to get rid of the president, suspected of being ready for a compromise and a sharing of power with the Tutsi forces. following the agreements concluded in Arusha (Tanzania) eight months earlier.
