Résumé
According to members of the PSD, the attack against Habyarimana was fomented by Augustin Bizimana. He distributed arms to civilians and drew up lists of opponents and Tutsis to be killed.
Commentaire
The involvement of Augustin Bizimana is quite possible. But he was not the main executor who is clearly Bagosora. This one is much more linked to the French military. Bagosora told Bruguière that he was very close to Lieutenant-Colonel J.-J. Maurin.

ATTENTAT CONTRE LE PRESIDENT HABYARIMANA
Selon des membres du Parti Social Démocrate (PSD) (1), l'attentat du 6 avril
ayant entraîné la mort du président Habyarimana a été fomenté par Augustin Bizimana (2) qui ne
pouvait se résoudre aux accords d'Arusha.
Selon le PSD, et en appui de sa thèse, le ministère de la Défense, avant l'attentat,
aurait fait distribuer des armes aux civils, formé les milices et établi la liste des opposants hutu modérés et tutsi à abattre.

l'attentat, A. Bizimana avait fortement insisté auprès du président Habyarimana pour se rendre à un sommet régional à Yaoundé.
