NAIROBI, Sept 6 (AFP) - One person was killed and four others injured when a bomb exploded in a snack bar in the Rwandan capital of Kigali late Sunday, state-controlled Rwandan radio said Monday.
The bomb was said to have been hidden in a corner of the bar in the southern part of the city, the radio monitored here by the BBC said.
The attack, believed to have been carried out for political reasons, was the first violent incident in Kigali since the signing of a peace accord between the government and the rebel Rwanda Patriotic Front last month.
The agreement, concluded in the northern Tanzanian capital of Arusha on August 4, is expected to end the 34-month war between the government and the rebels who fought to overthrow President Juvenal Habyarimana's administration.
