This static shot shows a massacre of Interahamwe at a roadblock. It was broadcast in a cut version on April 11, 1994 on the 20-hour newscasts of TF1 and France 2. This extract was one of the first widely broadcast images of the genocide, however it was almost systematically rather poorly contextualized.
