KAMPALA, Dec 14 (AFP) - Burundian President Pierre Buyoya has arrived in Uganda for a four-day state visit at the invitation of President Yoweri Museveni.
Major Buyoya, who arrived here Sunday, will hold talks with Museveni and will also visit the country's major industrial complexes.
Reliable sources said Monday that the two leaders were expected to discuss regional issues, including the process of ending the two-year-old civil war in Rwanda, which shares common borders with Uganda in the north and Burundi in the south.
This is Buyoya's first visit to Uganda since he came to power in October 1987 after a coup that ousted President Jean-Baptiste Bagaza.
