UNITED NATIONS, April 9 (Reuter) - The U.N. Security Council scheduled
noon EDT (1600 GMT) consultations Saturday on the situation in Rwanda,
a country torn by tribal bloodletting feared to have killed thousands
since Wednesday.
Council members were expected to be informed of latest developments in
the central African nation, including the arrival of troops from France
to help evacuate foreign residents, but there was no immediate
indication of a formal council meeting.
