The arrangements for signing the peace accord, hammered out after 11 months of haggling, are expected to be finalised by Habyarimana and Tanzanian President Ali Hassan Mwinyi on Saturday in the Burundi capital Bujumbura, on the sidelines of the official swearing-in of Burundi President-elect Melchior Ndadaye.
Mwinyi has played a key role as mediator in the Rwandan peace talks.
The RPF comprises mostly Tutsi refugees who have lived in Uganda for more than 30 years and who were serving in the Ugandan army before absconding with their arms and invading Rwanda in October 1990 in an unsuccessful attempt to topple Habyarimana's 20-year-old regime.
