In his book Le Monde, un contre-pouvoir?, Jean-Paul Gouteux notes that these "Black Khmers" suggested by black silhouettes brandishing firearms appear in an insistent way in other caricatures (See in particular those of Pancho in Le Monde of April 14, 1995 and October 28, 1996).
