While since 1957, the French army claims that the mathematician Maurice Audin escaped during his detention by the French paratroopers in Algiers, the President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron finally admitted that he had been murdered and that such "disappearances" numbered in the thousands. Despite several judicial procedures, the Audin family had never obtained the truth about this disappearance, the French state retreating behind the lie and justice being paralyzed by the law on special powers and the amnesty law. French justice remains unable to judge these crimes committed by order of the French government. All assassins and terrorists can take advantage of this impunity.
